Our Coaching Essentials course provides the rudimentary essentials of coaching applied to an agile way of working. The role of agile coach is relatively new - it's often been used to rename one existing role to something else - often scrum masters who aren't doing scrum anymore are re-titled as agile coaches. But being an agile coach is different from being a scrum master.
The knowledge and skills need to go wider and deeper - it needs to go beyond scrum. Agile coaches need to have an understanding of people - why they behave they way do and what can be done to encourage positive agile behaviours, they need to be able to mentor individuals and teams - encouraging a collaborative team thinking way of working, and they need to have a toolkit of skills and techniques to help them help their teams.
Whether you need to support people new to agile, teams working through issues and challenges or have got stuck in a rut, or teams that are established and want to understand how to get the best out of agile working we can show you some tools and techniques that can help. We help you to understand the skills you need to help guide people, facilitate their learning so that they can continually improve and find solutions.
The course runs for 2 days, usually in London, Sheffield or Newcastle, and costs £1000+ VAT.
